Issue Description
Some Android users may encounter an issue when attempting to reset their Shelly Cloud account password. The reset link might redirect to an incorrect page, often returning to the login page instead of the password reset page. This can be frustrating and prevent users from successfully resetting their passwords.
Troubleshooting Steps
To resolve the password reset redirection issue on Android devices, follow these steps:
Copy the Reset Link:
- When you receive the password reset email, tap and hold the link to highlight it.
- Select the "Copy" option to save the link to your device’s clipboard.
Open Your Browser:
- Close the app or webpage where the issue occurs to avoid further redirection errors.
- Open your preferred web browser on your Android phone (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
Paste the Reset Link in the Browser:
- Tap the address bar at the top of the browser to activate it.
- Long-press in the address bar and select "Paste" to insert the copied reset link.
Navigate to the Reset Page:
- Once the link is pasted, tap "Go" or press "Enter" on your device’s keyboard.
- The browser should now correctly take you to the password reset page.
Complete the Password Reset Process:
- Follow the on-screen instructions on the reset page to enter and confirm your new password.
- You may be prompted to enter your new password twice for confirmation.
Log In with Your New Password:
- After successfully resetting your password, you can log in to your Shelly Cloud account with your new credentials.
