Shelly BLU TRV Unresponsive After Firmware Update

If the update does not complete successfully, the device will enter bootloader mode and will need a manual update. For best results, we recommend using an Android smartphone device for the update.

Before you begin, ensure the device is removed from Bluetooth settings by selecting “forget” on the device.

To start:

  • Insert a new or fully charged battery. Once inserted, the device should appear in the Shelly Debug app (if the battery is low, please replace it).
  • The device will become selectable in the app for approximately 40 seconds while in wake mode.
  • Select the device and initiate a slow OTA update (through iOS, OTA is always slow OTA).

If the device does not appear right away, try briefly pressing and holding the button before reinserting the battery.
